RecruiterGuy checking in for a late night post…
It’s no secret that I’m a HYOOOGH fan of The Google. But I just recently found a neat little thing to do with Google Maps.
I’ve been toying with tracking my running on Google Maps so that I can quickly see where and when and how far I’ve gone – with a bit of a twist. I’m not huge on timing my runs in the traditional sense. I typically will just use my iPod to gauge how well I’m doing. Hey it works for me, so I’m just going with it.
Anyhow – take a quick look at how I’m using Google Maps to “map” my progress, times, and distance. I’m not sure if anyone else is doing something similar – I’d be hard pressed to believe this is completely original, but I won’t lie to you and say that I’ve bothered to look either. (click here – WordPress seems to really frown on the iframes I was trying to embed.) Be sure to take a sec and zoom down to see the running paths and distances entered with each journal.
Okay, so I’m not sure why I think this is so great but… gimme a few days to marinade on it. I’ll come up with a reason.
I’m wondering what other crazy uses people are finding for Google Maps.
